Job Opportunity: Housekeeping Staff

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment for residents, following infection control principles.
  • Clean, disinfect, polish, and dust residents’ rooms, offices, and common areas, including furniture, closets, windows, walls, floors, and bathrooms.
  • Perform routine, deep, terminal, and discharge cleaning, along with waste management and floor maintenance.
  • Dust window ledges, door frames, and closets; clean glass, countertops, tables, chairs, and sanitize all surfaces.
  • Vacuum carpets, clean washrooms, disinfect tubs, sinks, toilets, mirrors, and wash floors with germicidal solutions.
  • Maintain cleanliness of lounge and dining areas, do laundry for residents, and manage lost clothing reports.
  • Clean staff lockers, rest rooms, stairwells, and manage garbage disposal and supply inventory.
  • Follow equipment care procedures, communicate with charge nurses, and ensure supplies are adequate.
  • Carry out duties professionally within a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions in English.
  • Physical stamina for cleaning tasks.
  • Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Check (within 6 months).
  • Experience in housekeeping in long-term care or elderly care is a plus.
