Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment for residents, following infection control principles.
  • Clean, disinfect, polish, and dust residents’ rooms, offices, and common areas, including furniture, closets, windows, walls, floors, shower and tub rooms, washrooms, reception, and break rooms.
  • Perform routine, deep, terminal, and discharge cleaning, along with floor maintenance and waste management according to schedules.
  • Dust window ledges, door frames, and closets; clean glass as needed; disinfect surfaces; vacuum carpets; clean washrooms; wash floors; do laundry; and manage supplies.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment.
  • Ability to understand instructions in English.
  • Physical stamina for cleaning tasks.
  • Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Check (within 6 months).
  • Experience in long-term care housekeeping or with the elderly is an asset.
Additional Information
  • Adherence to safety, infection control, and quality assurance policies.
  • Participation in meetings and training.
  • Other duties as assigned.
