Job summary

AgeCare is recruiting a Housekeeper (Janitor) for Generations Toronto, a long-term care residence in Toronto. The role ensures a safe, clean, and sanitary environment for residents, visitors and staff, performing a range of housekeeping duties daily.

Ideal candidates have prior housekeeping experience and a minimum public-school education. We offer competitive pay (23.76–25.39 CAD/hour), benefits, and opportunities for training and career growth in a values-driven, inclusive workplace.

Responsibilities

• Cleans dining rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, lounges, activity areas, offices, hallways, stairwells, and other areas as directed.
• Cleans, mops, waxes, and polishes floors.
• Operates a floor machine to buff dining room, bedroom, lounge, corridor, and office floors.
• Dusts furniture and equipment.
• Arranges furniture in an orderly fashion.
• Cleans and disinfects sinks, toilets, urinals, and telephones daily.

AgeCare has been appointed as the manager of the Generations Toronto long-term care home and is recruiting the Housekeeping Aide (Janitor) on behalf of Generations Toronto.

The Opportunity

The Housekeeper performs a variety of housekeeping duties to ensure that the Long-Term Care residence is maintained in a safe, clean, and sanitary condition for residents, visitors, and other staff members.
