Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment for residents, adhering to infection control principles.
  • Clean, disinfect, polish, and dust residents’ rooms, offices, and common areas, including furniture, windows, walls, floors, showers, washrooms, and more.
  • Perform routine, deep, terminal, and discharge cleaning, floor maintenance, and waste management as per schedules.
  • Additional cleaning duties include dusting window ledges, door frames, cleaning glass, disinfecting surfaces, vacuuming carpets, cleaning washrooms, laundry duties, and equipment care.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and communicate with staff regarding special care needs.
  • Carry out duties professionally within a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions in English.
  • Physical stamina for cleaning tasks.
  • Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Check (within 6 months).
  • Experience in housekeeping within long-term care or elderly care is an asset.
