Job summary

AgeCare is hiring a Housekeeper for Generations Toronto's Long-Term Care residence in Toronto. The role performs housekeeping duties to maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

You will clean dining rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, lounges, offices, and floors, operate floor machines, dust furniture, and arrange spaces to support a welcoming home-like setting. Previous housekeeping experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• A minimum of public-school education is required.

Responsibilities

• The Housekeeper performs a variety of housekeeping duties to ensure that the Long-Term Care residence is maintained in a safe, clean, and sanitary condition for residents, visitors, and other staff members.
• Cleans dining rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, lounges, activity areas, offices, hallways, stairwells, and other areas as directed.
• Cleans, mops, waxes, and polishes floors.
• Operates a floor machine to buff dining room, bedroom, lounge, corridor, and office floors.
• Dusts furniture and equipment.
• Arranges furniture in an orderly fashion.
• Cleans and disinfects sinks, toilets, urinals, and telephones daily.

AgeCare has been appointed as the manager of the Generations Toronto long-term care home and is recruiting the Housekeeping Aide on behalf of Generations Toronto.

The Opportunity

Salary Range: $23.76 - $25.39 per hour Salary placement based on qualifications and experience.
