We are seeking a talented and experienced chef with a passion for creating authentic dishes that reflect the unique flavors of these two vibrant culinary traditions.

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated cook who specializes in both Traditional Indian and Hakka Cuisine. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes, managing the kitchen, and ensuring customer satisfaction. You should have a strong understanding of traditional cooking methods, spices, and ingredients, and a keen eye for detail. Flexibility, reliability, and a passion for culinary excellence are key for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes from traditional Indian and Hakka cuisines with consistency and attention to detail.
  2. Develop and refine menus, ensuring a balance of flavors and presentation.
  3. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  4. Manage food inventory, ensure freshness of ingredients, and minimize food waste.
  5. Collaborate with the restaurant management team to plan special menus, seasonal dishes, and events.
  6. Ensure timely preparation and presentation of meals, even during peak hours.
  7. Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through consistent quality in food preparation and presentation.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a cook specializing in Indian and Hakka cuisine.
  2. Strong knowledge of traditional spices, ingredients, and cooking methods for both cuisines.
  3. Ability to manage a kitchen efficiently, multitask, and work under pressure.
  4. Flexibility with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  5. Must have a valid means of transportation.
  6. Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
  7. Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  8. Culinary certification or formal training in Indian or Hakka cuisine (preferred but not required).
