Job summary

Chartwell Retirement Residences in Canada is seeking a Housekeeping Aide to create clean, safe spaces for residents. You’ll clean suites, maintain common areas, and follow infection prevention protocols to ensure a welcoming home environment.

You’ll bring a high level of attention to detail, reliable teamwork and strong communication, with a customer-focused mindset and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced residential setting. This role offers competitive pay and benefits.

What You'll Do

• Clean, dust, and disinfect resident suites, including bedrooms, bathrooms, furniture, and kitchenettes
• Maintain cleanliness in all common areas and offices
• Collect and dispose of garbage safely and efficiently
• Operate floor machines and robots
• Keep utility and storage rooms organized, clean, and safe
• Follow all health, safety, and infection prevention protocols

What You'll Bring

• Secondary School education or relevant experience
• Previous housekeeping experience, ideally in a residential or healthcare setting
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• A customer-focused mindset with a dedication to exceeding expectations
• Ability to stay organized and maintain a safe, efficient work environment

• Ability to work flexible hours as needed
• Physical ability to meet job demands, including standing, bending, pushing, and pulling for extended periods, and operating cleaning equipment
• Preparedness to respond to emergency situations
• Clear Criminal Background Check, VSS and TB Test where required
