Job summary

AMGH in Goderich is seeking a dedicated housekeeping professional to support our 24/7 hospital operations. This role involves flexible shifts, with part-time and temporary postings to backfill leaves and maintain continuous care for patients and staff.

The ideal candidate has at least six months of healthcare housekeeping experience, strong infection control knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months’ housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting within the last three years.
• Excellent knowledge of infection control practices and safe handling of chemicals is required.
• Flexible, self-directed and organized
• Good attendance and work record is essential
• Must be a strong team player, with excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to work all shifts
• Must be physically able to perform repetitive tasks on a continual basis, able to walk and stand for long period of time as well as the ability to push, pull, lift and move moderately heavy objects
• Consistently meets attendance expectations, demonstrating reliability and commitment to scheduled shifts.

• Completion of "Best Practices for Environmental Cleaning in Healthcare" training an asset
• Education and understanding of Infection Control and Hand Hygiene required
• Excellent knowledge of WHIMS and Material safety Data Sheets
• Must possess an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (Grade 12)

Required Skills:
