Overview

We are looking for a casual / part-time Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in our Long Term Care Facility ensuring that all areas are sanitized, organized, and welcoming. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Manage laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing.
• Provide floor care services such as carpet cleaning and maintenance of hard surface floors.
• Ensure that all cleaning supplies are stocked and maintained in an organized manner.
• Maintain a high standard of sanitation in all cleaning tasks to promote a healthy environment.
• Document any maintenance issues or repairs needed in the areas cleaned.

Skills

• Proven experience in residential cleaning or janitorial roles; hospital experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of sanitation practices and procedures related to cleaning.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Familiarity with various cleaning products and equipment; knowledge of carpet cleaning techniques is advantageous.
