Job summary

Sasagiu Rapids Lodge in Thompson, Manitoba seeks a Housekeeper to maintain guest rooms, cabins, and public spaces to lodge standards. Training is provided, with a focus on cleanliness, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.

The role requires the ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks, plus good communication and a flexible schedule to cover mornings, weekends, and seasonal peaks.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is an asset, but training will be provided.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment.
• Good communication and a courteous, guest-focused attitude.
• Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and busy seasonal periods.
• Completion of secondary school is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize guest rooms, cabins, washrooms, and common areas to lodge standards.
• Change linens, make beds, and restock towels, toiletries, and other room supplies.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors, surfaces, and fixtures throughout the property.
• Inspect rooms and public spaces for cleanliness, maintenance issues, and missing items.
• Assist in the kitchen and restaurant if required at times.
• Collect and sort used linens, garbage, and recycling for proper laundering and disposal.
• Replenish cleaning carts and maintain housekeeping supplies, equipment, and storage areas.
• Report damage, safety concerns, and unusual guest requests to supervisory staff promptly.
• Support the lodge team in keeping guest areas welcoming, organized, and ready for arrivals.
• Other duties that apply.

Valid driver’s license is required.
