Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a dedicated housekeeping associate for our healthcare and facility cleaning operations in Pouce Coupe, BC. The role involves cleaning and disinfecting areas, linen handling, floor care, waste removal, and maintaining safety and confidentiality standards.

This site is launching with opportunities for full-time and part-time roles as the location ramps up. We value reliability, strong English communication, and the ability to follow instructions.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in healthcare, hotel or commercial cleaning.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Good command of English, both verbal and written.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and comply with health and safety guidelines.
• Criminal Record Check and immunization/TB tests required.
• Three-year sobriety from alcohol, drugs and mind-altering substances.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient/resident areas and common spaces.
• Strip, wash and make beds; collect and fold linen.
• Damp mop floors and perform carpet extraction as needed.
• Remove all garbage from resident/patient rooms and common areas.
• Maintain confidentiality and report injuries or hazards to the supervisor.
• Respond to emergency cleanups as required.

Job description

Salary: $22.00 per hour
Important: This site is newly launching, and there will be opportunity for Full Time and Part Time roles in the future as the location ramps up!

• Clean and disinfect areas and items such as surgical procedure areas, washrooms, operating room tables, stretchers, vents, interior windows, walls, glass, doors, and mirrors
• Strip, wash and make beds; collect and fold linen
• Damp mop hard floors and auto scrub as needed
• Check all primary areas, lobbies, stairwells, elevators/escalators, and mezzanines and clean as required
• Vacuum carpeted areas and complete carpet extraction as needed
• Remove all garbage from resident/patient rooms and common areas
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident and personnel information
• Maintain a safe environment at all times (e.g. use of wet floor signs)
• Perform duties according to health and safety guidelines
• Report all injuries and hazards to the supervisor immediately
• Responding to emergency cleanups as required
• Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in healthcare, hotel or commercial cleaning, is an asset.
• Strong time management and organizational skills to be able to manage heavy workload.
• Good command of English language, both verbal and written.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Physical ability to perform all aspects of the job, including requirements to lift up to 20 pounds
• Three-year sobriety, from alcohol, drugs (legal & Illegal), and any mind-altering substance required
• Criminal Record Check
