Job Description

WHAT'S THE JOB?

Housekeepers are essential team members responsible for maintaining cleanliness across the site, including rooms and dorms. They collaborate with the Housekeeping Lead and Camp Manager to meet company standards for quality and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily walkdowns of assigned dorms for accuracy and efficiency
  • Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of guest rooms and shared washrooms
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum guest rooms, common areas, and hallways daily
  • Complete check-outs and linen changes promptly as scheduled
  • Sanitize laundry rooms and high-touch points daily
  • Keep dorm hallways clean, including high dusting of surfaces
  • Collect, launder, and fold towels
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and supplies
  • Ensure a safe working environment at all times
  • Follow COVID safety protocols, including handwashing, PPE use, and sanitation
  • Assist with additional tasks as assigned by supervisors
Physical Demands
  • Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
  • Climb ladders and stairs
  • Stand, walk, squat, kneel, or sit for extended periods
  • Perform repetitive hand tasks requiring full hand use
  • Work with arms above shoulder height
Qualifications

  • Some janitorial or housekeeping experience preferred
  • Ability to pass a site access drug and alcohol test
  • Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, and equipment
  • Experience in remote lodge, hotel, or institutional settings is an asset
  • Fluent in English with strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds

Work involves a rotational schedule of 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off at a remote camp site with individual accommodations. Night, weekday, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required. Wages start at $19.00/hour.
