Summary
Reporting to: Housekeeping Supervisor
Core Purpose of the Job: Perform housekeeping services, ensuring facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner. Responsibilities include washing, scrubbing, and polishing floors using auto scrubbers and burnishers, cleaning windows over 12 feet high, and lifting furniture.

Scope Of Duties & Responsibilities

  • Clean offices, auditoriums, entrances/exits, and reception areas.
  • Clean floors by mopping tile/concrete, vacuuming carpeted areas, and washing and buffing floors.
  • Clean washrooms, kitchens, and/or dining areas by washing and disinfecting all surfaces.
  • Dust furniture, baseboards, and fixtures; wash all finger marks from walls, doors, hardware, and glass.
  • Empty waste baskets and garbage cans and place garbage in outside storage bins.
  • Report any deficiencies to the help desk in a timely manner.
  • Maintain storage areas and cleaning equipment in a safe and orderly manner.
  • Perform and/or report minor maintenance repairs.
  • Work overtime when required.
  • Comply with the Company’s Policies, Management Plans, and Procedures.
  • Fulfill Health & Safety responsibilities by adhering to the Company’s Health & Safety Policy.
  • Support the Company's Quality Policy Statement and participate in achieving Quality objectives.
  • Undertake other duties appropriate to the level of work as may reasonably be required.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Authorized to work in Canada.
  • Willing to undergo a Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Background check.
  • Ability to pass the required Security Clearance Check (CPIC).
  • Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products, and equipment.
  • Ability to communicate in English to respond to customer inquiries.
  • Ability to read and understand labels and instructions on cleaning chemicals.
  • Ability to work with little supervision and solve problems independently.
  • Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System.
