Job summary

Athabasca Catering Limited Partnership is seeking a Housekeeper for remote northern mine sites in Saskatchewan. Reporting to the housing manager, you will perform housekeeping duties at mining facilities and exploration camps, including cleaning, dusting, bed making, and waste removal, following contract standards.

This casual, full-time role requires 11-hour day or night shifts on a 2-week in-2-week rotation.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast, thorough, efficient manner with attention to detail.
• Grade 10 would be an asset.
• One year of housekeeping experience would be an asset.
• A valid drivers license with a safe driving record would be an asset.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain a valid, recognized first aid certificate.
• Ability to perform housekeeping duties safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of safety procedures including WHMIS.
• Ability to pass a drug & alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and wash floors.
• Dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, and area rugs.
• Make beds.
• Clean and sanitize all areas as assigned.
• Collect garbage.
• Clean rooms to required specifications.
• Follow ACLP policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, and area rugs.
• Make beds.
• Clean and sanitize all areas as assigned.
• Collect garbage.
• Clean rooms to required specifications.
• Follow ACLP policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Things to consider lets not waste your time:

• Require shift work at remote sites - mining facilities & exploration camps.
• You MUST be able to work compressed workweeks.
• You must be a team player, who works well with others.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work in a fast, thorough, efficient manner with attention to detail.

• One year of housekeeping experience would be an asset.
• A suitable combination of education & experience will also be considered.
• A valid Drivers license with a safe driving record would be an asset.

• Knowledge of safety procedures associated with working with hazardous products, including WHMIS.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team.
