MCILVENNA BAY CATERING LIMITED PARTNERSHIP seeks Housing Attendants (Housekeepers) for Eldorado Mine site in Saskatchewan. Casual, full-time hours with potential for permanency. Shift work on remote northern sites, 2-week rotations, travel covered from Saskatoon or Prince Albert.

Duties include cleaning, bed-making, sanitation, and waste collection, with meals and accommodation provided when at site. Requires no formal education or experience; Grade 10 or related combination considered.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast, thorough, efficient manner with attention to detail.
• You must be a team player, who works well with others.
• Physically able to perform the duties and lift moderate weights.
• Knowledge of safety procedures including WHMIS is required.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain a valid first aid certificate is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license with a safe driving record is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and wash floors.
• Dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, and area rugs.
• Make beds.
• Clean and sanitize all areas as assigned.
• Collect garbage.
• Clean rooms to required specifications.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Details

• WE COVER TRANSPORTATION (shuttle service to-and-from site, ONLY out of Saskatoon or Prince Albert)
• MEALS, & ACCOMMODATION WHEN AT SITE.
• Job is located at the Eldorado Mine site in Saskatchewan, approximately 3.5 hours northeast of Prince Albert and 85 km west of Flin Flon, MB.
• SHIFT WORK IS REQUIRED; WORK SCHEDULES ARE 2-WEEK IN-AND-OUT ROTATIONS.
• Reporting to the housing manager, Housing Attendants (Housekeepers) are responsible for housekeeping duties at remote northern sites, such as mining facilities and exploration camps. Duties must be completed in accordance with contract standards & specifications.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and wash floors.
• Dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, and area rugs.
• Make beds.

Qualifications

• A suitable combination of education & experience will also be considered.
• A valid Drivers license with a safe driving record is a strong asset.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain a valid, recognized first aid certificate.
• Ability to perform housekeeping duties in a safe and efficient manner.
• Knowledge of safety procedures associated with working with hazardous products, including WHMIS.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Physically able to perform the assigned duties.
