Crystal Lodge in Whistler, BC is hiring Housekeepers for full-time, permanent, year-round positions. The role covers cleaning guest rooms and public areas to maintain cleanliness, presentation, and guest comfort.

Qualifications

• There are no specific education requirements; full training will be provided.
• Certification for housekeeping is not required.
• Previous housekeeping/cleaning experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, presentation, and comfort of guest rooms and public areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, wash, polish floors and furnishings; make beds, change linens, replenish towels and amenities.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms, kitchens, fixtures, appliances, elevators, and other public spaces; wash windows, walls, and ceilings; remove waste and debris; report and securely store lost and found items.
• Respond to guest requests for supplies and information; assist with guest concerns; ensure areas meet cleanliness, safety, and quality standards.

The Crystal Lodge is a 158-room property located in the centre of Whistler, British Columbia that is recruiting Housekeepers to join our team.

These positions are full-time, permanent and year-round.

Job duties:

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, presentation, and overall comfort of guest rooms and public areas.

Duties include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, washing, polishing floors and furnishings; making beds, changing linens, replenishing towels and guest amenities, and restocking linen closets and supply areas. The role also involves cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms, kitchens, fixtures, appliances, elevators, and other public spaces, as well as washing windows, walls, and ceilings, removing waste and debris, and reporting and securely storing lost and found items.

Housekeepers will respond to guest requests for additional supplies, provide basic information about hotel facilities when required, assist in addressing guest concerns, and ensure all assigned areas meet the hotel's cleanliness, safety, and quality standards.

Job requirements:

• There are no specific education requirements for these positions as full training will be provided.
• Certification for housekeeping room attendants or similar certification is not required
• Previous Housekeeping/ Cleaning experience is an asset

Wage:

The Housekeeping position pays the following hourly rates:

Start rate: $22.75

Probationary pass rate: $23.75

One year rate: $25.75

Hourly wages are reviewed by the business on an annual basis.
