Job Summary

We are looking for a professional Housekeeper able to attend to our facilities with integrity and attention to detail. The goal is to create a clean and orderly environment for our guests that will become a critical factor in maintaining and strengthening our reputation while ensuring we adhere to quality care standards.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Perform and adhere to infection prevention and control (IPAC) best practices for cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, emptying garbage, cleaning bathrooms, and cleaning after discharge.
  • Adhere to IPAC and Bayshore procedures during admission room, discharge, and isolation/outbreak client room and unit cleaning.
  • Follow Bayshore Policies and Procedures.
  • Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards.
  • Protect equipment and ensure no inadequacies.
  • Notify superiors of damages, deficits, or disturbances.
  • Deal with reasonable complaints or requests professionally and patiently.
  • Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate.
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety rules and be aware of company practices.
  • Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
Management System
  • Participate in proactive Health & Safety activities and notify immediate supervisor of risks or concerns.
  • Complete Accident Reports within 24 hours for injuries on the job.
  • Support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and corporate information.
  • Complete other tasks as requested.
Key Qualifications
  • Secondary school diploma preferred; Home Support Programs as appropriate.
  • Proven experience as a cleaner or housekeeper.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Customer-oriented, friendly, and with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Effective prioritization and time management skills.
  • Ability to work quickly without compromising quality.
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, squat, kneel, reach, and lift up to 23 kilograms.
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English or French.
  • Understanding and implementation of infection prevention practices.
Experience

At least one year of recent experience in a similar position or relevant life experience.
