Job description

Casual Days 8am-4pm & Weekends

The Housekeeper is a critical role within our communities as it impacts the lives of residents and ignites the warmth of human connection.

Responsibilities:
  1. Receiving assignment, assembling required materials and supplies, loading service cart and transporting to work area.
  2. Performing resident room cleaning as per assigned schedule.
  3. Performing cleaning and disinfecting duties such as sweeping, dry/wet mopping, vacuuming and rearranging furniture.
  4. Ensuring privacy of residents during performance of duties.
  5. Preparing room for new occupant following prescribed procedures to ensure tour ready at all times.
  6. Notifying supervisor when supplies are low or equipment is malfunctioning.
  7. Performing other duties as assigned.
Must Haves:
  1. Previous housekeeping experience is required.
  2. Ability to read, write English and follow written instructions.
  3. Good understanding of chemical and equipment use.
  4. Ability to work independently or as a team.
  5. WHMIS trained.
  6. Strong customer service skills and ability to effectively communicate with residents and team members.
  7. All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check (Applicable to Ontario applicants).
  8. All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Criminal Records Check (Applicable to British Columbia applicants).
