Job summary

Siesta-Suites is seeking a motivated Housekeeper to maintain our hotel's cleanliness, comfort, and guest service standards. You will contribute to an exceptional guest experience by performing cleaning and related duties with attention to detail.

The role requires 5 shifts per week from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with responsibilities including room cleaning, facility inspections, proper use of cleaning equipment, and adherence to safety regulations.

Qualifications

• A keen eye for detail to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles.
• Ability to manage time effectively to complete tasks within scheduled shifts.
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• WHMIS certification is considered an asset.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfortable walking up and down stairs during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive exceptional service and a clean, comfortable stay.
• Inspect and clean guest rooms and facilities to meet cleanliness and safety guidelines.
• Properly and safely use cleaning products, chemicals, and equipment, including vacuums, mops, scrubbers, and laundry machines.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, as well as company policies.
• Maintain professionalism in communication and interactions with guests and colleagues.
• Support cost control through energy conservation and proper use of materials and equipment.
• Contribute to security and safety of guests, staff, and hotel assets by reporting suspicious activity and handling keys responsibly.
• Represent the hotel positively and uphold its mission and values.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
