Job summary

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited is seeking a part-time custodian to maintain a high standard of cleanliness across the casino facility. You will perform cleaning and sanitation in public and employee areas, ensuring safety and reporting maintenance issues.

Starting wage is $19.82/hour. The role requires a secondary school diploma, 1+ year experience, and the ability to work evenings, weekends and shifts.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year experience in a related field.
• Proven high level of customer service.
• Organizational, interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and shift work.
• Ability to lift, push, pull and move cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Good physical fitness to maintain a steady pace of manual work.
• Ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning and sanitation activities for public and employee areas.
• Cleans building floors, furniture, fixtures and any equipment.
• Services, cleans, and provides supplies to restrooms.
• Practices safe work procedures and health and safety policies ensuring a safe and hazard free environment.

What You Bring

• Experience in the related field of one (1) or more years

• Ability to lift, push, pull and move house cleaning equipment and supplies
• Good physical fitness to maintain a constant pace of manual work
• General knowledge of cleanliness and sanitation
• The ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
