About Us:

House of Dawn Steakhouse is Richmond’s newest premium dining destination, specializing in dry-aged, prime-quality cuts and sizzling plate presentations served table side. We recently celebrated our grand opening and are building a passionate, skilled team dedicated to delivering an exceptional steakhouse experience rooted in technique, fire, and finesse.

The Role:

We are currently hiring a Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen brigade. This is a key position in our line, ideal for a meat-savvy professional who thrives over charcoal and flame.

Responsibilities:

-Execute high-volume service on the grill station with precision and consistency.
-Prepare and cook a variety of prime beef cuts and other meats to requested temperatures.
-Operate and maintain a charcoal grill and high-temperature top broiler efficiently.
-Ensure all meat is prepared, rested, and served according to fine dining and steakhouse standards.
-Maintain cleanliness and proper hygiene standards in your station.
-Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service and timing.


Requirements:

-Proficiency in all aspects of meat preparation, with a strong focus on beef.
-Expertise in grill cooking, particularly using charcoal grills and top broilers.
-Deep understanding of meat doneness and temperature accuracy.
-Experience in fine dining or steakhouse environments is a strong asset.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen.
-Strong communication and organizational skills.
