A leading company is searching for an experienced House Manager to manage a semi-formal residence in Toronto. In this full-time position, you will oversee household schedules, ensure mechanical systems are operating smoothly, and manage budgets while supporting household staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to household management.
Seeking an experienced House Manager for a semi-formal residence in Toronto. The successful applicant will be experienced with providing effective management of multiple properties. This position is full-time live-out. A typical work week is Monday to Friday 9am 5pm. Some flexibility outside of this schedule is required as needed.
Candidate Profile :
You are an experienced and well-rounded House Manager who is extraordinarily organized. You have a strong understanding of household management and the confidence to see through tasks to completion. You have a do what it takes attitude and have a calm and collected approach when things dont go as planned. You are solution oriented and always ready with plans B and C.
Primary Responsibilities :
Work with the principal to oversee and manage the schedules of each household
Management of household inventories and implementation of organizational strategies
Consistently ensure all household mechanical systems HVAC plumbing equipment and fixtures are in good working order
Schedule and supervise trades and contractors
Monitor household budgets and costs for trades and vendors
Assist with the ordering and purchasing of household inventories
Ensure household security protocols are followed
Be the point of contact for all household services including the emergency contact
Create household manuals and best practises for the household staff to follow
Manage the housekeeper and work together on deep cleaning projects while the principal is travelling
Be a self-starter with an anticipatory service-oriented disposition
Must possess excellent time management skills be punctual courteous possess keen attention to detail and follow through on all tasks and projects assigned
Must possess a strong work ethic and understand invisible service
Must be a team player able to motivate and work with staff to ensure a positive outcome
Must have a sense and respect of boundaries exercise diplomacy discretion and confidentiality
A drivers license and clean driving record is required
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
