Job description

Our Amusement Player, Front of House, is an integral part of the team responsible for providing an exceptional entertainment experience to each guest. The Amusement Player operates all major attractions, is an expert on gaming within the facility, and can assist in curating the gaming experience for both experienced and novice gamers. If you thrive in an energetic, fast-paced, and social environment, this could be the opportunity for you!

Cineplex Entertainment, headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, is currently recruiting for the position of Hourly Amusement Player – The Rec Room West Edmonton Mall, reporting to the Service Manager. This position is based at The Rec Room West Edmonton Mall, 8882 170 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5T 4J2.

Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

1. Upselling games by demonstrating game operations, encouraging guests to play, and creating a fun, playful environment.
2. Ensuring games and stations are clean, well-maintained, and operational, along with restocking supplies.
3. Serving as a resource for guest inquiries and concerns, with knowledge of venue pricing for events, promotions, and daily activities.

Qualifications:

This role may be suitable if you:

1. Are of the required age of majority or older, if applicable.
2. Have some experience in customer service.
3. Can complete tasks with attention to detail.
4. Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
5. Hold a provincially applicable sell, sale, and handling of alcohol certificate, if required.
