Job summary

InnVest Hotels is seeking a Maintenance Worker to join our team in Canada. The role involves preventative maintenance, minor repairs, painting, and exterior upkeep to ensure hotel properties meet quality standards.

The responsibilities include handling electrical/plumbing tasks, maintaining life-safety systems, and coordinating with contractors as needed. A valid driver’s license and 1–3 years of hotel maintenance experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years building maintenance experience, hotel environment preferred.
• Painting and plastering experience required.
• Trade experience (electrical/plumbing) is an asset.
• Valid Driver’s License preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong customer service.
• Able to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to keep logs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and guestroom upkeep tasks.
• Perform minor repairs such as replacing ceiling tiles and light bulbs.
• Prepare and apply paints, stains, and protective coatings.
• Maintain exterior areas including snow removal and landscaping.
• Inspect electrical systems and fix minor issues as needed.
• Maintain and repair hotel fixtures, fixtures and plumbing as required.
• Monitor fire alarm/life safety system; assist with emergency procedures.
• Refurbish furniture and fixtures in guestrooms.
• Maintain tools and equipment; aid in project records and reporting.
• Coordinate with contractors and ensure safe work practices.
