Hotel Maintenance Technician – Full Time

Wage: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
Hours: 32-40 per week

The Explorer Hotel, Yellowknife’s premier full-service hotel, is looking for a dedicated Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position plays a key role in maintaining the hotel’s facilities and ensuring a comfortable experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs, including drywall, mudding, taping, and painting
• Assist with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems (experience in these areas is an asset)
• Respond to guest and staff maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
• Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance on hotel equipment and building systems
• Ensure exterior areas are safe and well-maintained, including shoveling snow and clearing walkways
• Lift and transport materials or equipment weighing up to 40 lbs
• Support the maintenance team with various tasks as assigned

Requirements:

• Experience with drywall, mudding, taping, and painting (required)
• Additional experience in plumbing, electrical, or HVAC is a strong asset
