Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Hotel Front Desk Supervisor at Auberge Gisele’s Inn in Baddeck, NS. The Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day front desk operations, managing guest check-ins and check-outs, handling guest inquiries and complaints, and ensuring smooth coordination with other departments.

• Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments
• Establish work schedules and procedures
• Perform some same duties as workers supervised
• Prepare and submit reports
• Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
• Assist clients/guests with special needs
• Co-ordinate, assign and review work
• Hire and train staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
• Maintain operation of computer systems, equipment, machinery and arrange repair work to ensure business continuity and customer service delivery
• Requisition materials and supplies

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Experience with hotel management software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience
• Knowledge of hospitality industry practices
• Fluency in multiple languages is a plus
