Job summary

Wellness Republic in downtown Toronto is seeking Hot Yoga and Mat Pilates Instructors for part-time/contract opportunities. Lead engaging, thoughtfully programmed classes in a heated studio, and connect with members to build a welcoming community. Dual-modality experience is a plus; CPR/AED preferred.

Availability across mornings, daytime, evenings, and weekends is valued. Instructors with recognized certifications, strong teaching presence, and a passion for wellness will thrive here.

Qualifications

• Certified in Yoga and/or Mat Pilates.
• Experience teaching group fitness preferred.
• Strong knowledge of movement mechanics, alignment, safe progression.
• Confident, clear verbal communication and room presence.
• Ability to lead a welcoming, inclusive class atmosphere.
• Thoughtful programming beyond preset sequences.
• Good musicality to support class experience.
• Genuine interest in wellness, movement, recovery and community.
• Reliable, professional, receptive to feedback.
• CPR/AED certification preferred.

Part-Time / Contract Opportunities

Wellness Republic is a movement studio and wellness club bringing together Pilates, recovery, contrast therapy, IV therapy, and community under one roof.

We are building a team of exceptional Hot Yoga and Mat Pilates Instructors to lead experiences in our heated Mat Studio.

At Wellness Republic, a great class goes beyond the workout. We are looking for instructors who combine intelligent programming, confident coaching, strong presence, music, energy, and genuine member connection to create an experience people want to return to.

We welcome instructors specializing in Hot Yoga, Mat Pilates, or both. Dual-modality experience is an asset but is not required.

The Role

As a Hot Yoga or Mat Pilates Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering consistent, engaging, and thoughtfully programmed classes that reflect the Wellness Republic experience.

You will create an environment that feels welcoming and inclusive while coaching with confidence, precision, and attention to individual needs.

Key Responsibilities

Class Experience

• Deliver engaging, high-quality Hot Yoga and/or Mat Pilates classes.
• Create thoughtful, balanced, and intentional class programming.
• Provide clear verbal instruction, demonstrations, modifications, and progressions.
• Coach members across a range of experience and fitness levels while maintaining the integrity of the class.
• Create an atmosphere that is energetic, welcoming, and motivating without feeling performative or intimidating.
• Use music intentionally to complement the class experience where appropriate.

Member Experience

• Welcome members before class and create a strong sense of connection within the room.
• Learn member names and help foster a genuine sense of community.
• Be available before and after class for questions and member interaction.
• Support new members so they feel comfortable and confident in the studio.
• Deliver a consistent experience regardless of class time or attendance level.

Studio Standards

• Arrive prepared and with sufficient time to welcome members and prepare the studio.
• Begin and end classes on time.
• Ensure equipment is appropriately organized before and after class.
• Communicate maintenance, equipment, member, or safety concerns to the Wellness Republic team.
• Support smooth transitions between classes and collaborate with the Front Desk & Member Experience team.
• Represent Wellness Republic professionally both inside and outside the studio.

What We’re Looking For

• Recognized Yoga and/or Mat Pilates certification.
• Previous group fitness teaching experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of movement mechanics, alignment, and safe progression.
• Confident presence and strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to command a room while remaining approachable and inclusive.
• Thoughtful programming skills rather than relying solely on a preset sequence.
• Strong musicality and understanding of how music can support the class experience.
• Genuine interest in wellness, movement, recovery, and community.
• Reliable, professional, and receptive to feedback and coaching.
• Current CPR/AED certification is preferred.
• Experience teaching in heated environments is an asset for Hot Yoga instructors.
