Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.   1. Responsible for learning and being familiar with all of Cactus Petes room outlets, Host functions, and for being able to answer general questions regarding the property.
  2. Maintain a well-groomed, neat and clean appearance according to Cactus Petes Appearance Policy.
  3. Anticipate the needs of our guest and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.
  4. Provide superior guest service by positively affecting interactions with guests and team members.
  5. Keep entry area clean and organized.
  6. Work in cooperation with other service staff to provide a high quality of service.
  7. Greet and seat guests at tables according to guest preference and table availability.
  8. Inform guests of restaurant specials, feature items and personal favorites.
  9. Provide guests with the menus, inform them of the restaurant specials, and featured items.
  10. Coordinate with food servers, bus persons and other restaurant staff in providing excellent guest service.
  11. Assist food servers and food runners in table maintenance and clean when necessary.
  12. Keep reservation system and host area stocked with necessary equipment, forms and supplies.
  13. Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, hours of operations, proper table set-up and dress code of the restaurant.
  14. Carry out duties with attention to detail, sanitation and safety.
  15. Ensure dining and serving areas are set-up and maintained according to our standards of Excellence.
  16. Observe and adhere to Health Department regulations regarding food handling, storage, and cleanliness of work environment.
  17. Use and maintain all assigned areas and equipment in a sanitary, safe and effective manner.
  18. Consistent attendance at company/restaurant training programs as they are scheduled.
  19. Complete opening, closing and other side duties as assigned by the supervisors.
  20. Pass all tests given including the training in order to retain the knowledge needed to be an effective server.
  21. Maintain a well-groomed, neat and clean appearance.
  22. Possess the resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions and possess the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers.
  23. Perform all job functions in conjunction with the guidelines described in the Standard Operating Procedures manual to ensure consistent execution of company and department standards.
  24. Others duties assigned.
  25. Greets and seats restaurant guests and controls the flow of seating. This individual is also responsible for answering phones, taking and recording reservations, and managing the Yelp on-line reservations and seating software.
