A leading long-term care provider is seeking a Hospitality Worker to maintain cleanliness and safety within their facility. The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma, WHIMIS training, and experience in healthcare settings. This role, integral to our residents' well-being, requires attention to detail and a passion for service, with scheduled hours from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Tuesday through Saturday.

The Opportunity:
The Hospitality Worker reporting to the Hospitality Manager is primarily responsible for assigned cleaning duties in accordance with established work schedules, policies, and procedures. The Hospitality Worker is responsible for maintaining a clean and welcoming environment and reporting any maintenance or safety issues to the Hospitality Manager.
What Is In It For You:
Completes routine cleaning duties as assigned including, but not limited to, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and disinfecting of resident suites, restrooms, showers, nursing stations, lounges, offices, and other areas as assigned.
Dusts, cleans, and polishes furniture, cabinets, lamps/light fixtures, wall vents, handrails, baseboards, blinds etc. in resident suites, public areas and offices as assigned.
Cleans windows and spot washes walls per routine task checklist.
Removes trash from suites, public areas, offices and ensures disposal is in accordance with company protocol.
Shampoos carpeted areas as requested.
Washes resident bathmats as required.
Cleans and polishes fireplace glass.
Cleans inside and outside of washers/dryers, empties lint traps at least daily.
Uses duty checklist daily and returns to Supervisor for review.
Operates housekeeping equipment and implements as required.
What You Will Need:
High school diploma is preferred.
WHIMIS training is an asset.
Must be fluent in English, both orally and in writing.
Previous experience in a Healthcare or Retirement setting is preferred.
Experience with industrial vacuum, scrubber, floor polisher and other related equipment is preferred.
Internal Closing Date: December 26, 2024
Hours of Work: Tuesdays to Saturdays (12:00 pm to 8:00 pm)
