Job description

King’s Fold is known as a retreat centre of exceptional beauty and hospitality, situated on 166 acres of prime wilderness, straddling the Ghost River in the foothills of the Rockies. Weprovide healthy meals and comfortable accommodations for up to 26 people at a time in a home-like atmosphere.

The resident Community is a unique group of men and women who live community with intention, and who have committed themselves to the mission of King’s Fold; providing authentic hospitality in a safe and welcoming space for rest, healing, and renewal. We are currently looking for people to join our Community as full-time staff, which usually includes living onsite. We are accepting expressions of interest from those who love offering hospitality, and who have proven strengths in Kitchen and/or Facilities.

Our community has a practice of sharing in all tasks, despite job descriptions, so prospective applicants should be willing to support every aspect of the ministry.

Wondering whether this might be right for you? Here is a little more information…

  • All Community members receive a modest salary, plus supplied accommodation as a taxable benefit. They also receive health care benefits, paid professional and spiritual development time, and other benefits.
  • Preferred start date is as early as August 1. Expressions of interest will be accepted until successful applicants are chosen.
  • Applicants that are short-listed will be invited to come for a few days of discernment, to gain some hands-on experience and to engage in conversation, in order to get a better sense of the work and Community. This is an important part of the discernment process for the Community as well.

Please feel free to share this posting with people in your circle who you could see fitting in well here.

Expressions of interest can be forwarded to our Director, Frank Littel, at director@kingsfoldretreat.com.
