PROFILE

We are currently recruiting for a Hospitality Boardroom Attendant to join our fast-paced team. As an integral member of the admin team, the incumbent will provide support to other areas of the Office Services & Facilities Department.

This position requires full in-office attendance and the flexibility to work overtime as occasionally requested.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Prepare, stock, and maintain boardrooms for meetings and firm events
  • Support the setup, logistics, and takedown of special events hosted by the firm
  • Serve as a liaison with internal teams, external clients, caterers, vendors, and suppliers
  • Manage boardroom bookings using the firm’s scheduling software
  • Coordinate catering and audiovisual (A/V) requirements for meetings and events
  • Monitor and replenish inventory of pantry and kitchen supplies, including beverages and snacks
  • Ensure boardrooms, kitchens, and shared spaces are clean, organized, and fully stocked
  • Handle last-minute catering purchases as needed
  • Provide daily reception coverage and backup support for reception and office services during absences
  • Assist with general office maintenance, including upkeep of appliances and furniture
  • Perform administrative tasks related to hospitality and office services
  • Take on additional duties as required to support the team

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma required
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a hospitality, catering, or client services role
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and moving furniture such as tables and chairs
  • Food Safe and Serving It Right certifications are considered assets
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Flexibility to work outside of standard office hours when needed

The starting range for this role is $50,000.00 to $55,000.00. Starting salary will be determined based on an applicant’s individual skills, competencies and unique qualifications. Gowling WLG employees have the potential to exceed this range based on tenure and performance.
