Job summary

Lloydminster Region Housing Group is seeking Hospitality Aides to assist residents at Pioneer Lodge and House. Responsibilities include cleaning, sanitization, and laundry, while delivering exceptional hospitality services in a senior living environment.

You will work on daily tasks, follow safety protocols, and support a respectful, resident-centered culture as part of our Pioneer team. Training and OHS participation are expected.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Stand/walk for an entire shift.
• Willing to work all shifts including days, evenings & nights, weekends & holidays.

Responsibilities

• Follow LRHG/Pioneer Lodge and House policies & procedures.
• Treat staff, residents, families, and volunteers with dignity and respect.
• Prioritize health, safety & general well-being of residents.
• Use communication tools to access & share information.
• Maintain general cleanliness of the Pioneer, including resident rooms, common areas, washrooms, entryways, stairwells, and offices.
• Perform laundry duties including sorting, washing, drying, pressing, and delivering.
• Assist residents moving rooms and packing/moving furniture.
• Respond to resident alerts as required.
• Provide support to all Pioneer Team members and participate in training/orientation.
• Participate in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and follow Emergency Response Plans, Infection Prevention and Controls protocols, WHMIS and OHS processes.
• Maintain training such as WHMIS, OHS, MIP, Dementia training as assigned.
• Maintain confidentiality of LRHG o/a Pioneer Lodge and House.

Position Summary:

The Hospitality Aides at Lloydminster Region Housing Group o/a Pioneer Lodge and House will work as part of our team to provide support services to the residents. Responsible for day-to-day tasks involved with cleaning, sanitization, and laundry, while providing exceptional hospitality services. Hospitality Aides will provide vital, essential services within Pioneer Lodge and House and will model a healthy culture in accordance with the Purpose, Mission, and Core Values of LRHG.

Responsible to:

The Hospitality Supervisor will be responsible for all Hospitality Aides (formerly Housekeeping and Laundry Aides). The Hospitality Supervisor may periodically assign additional duties not outlined below.

Hours of Work:

Hospitality Aides are scheduled to staff our facility daily, 7 days a week, during peak hours as needed.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to lift & transfer heavy & hot items, up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand/walk for an entire shift.
• Must be willing to work all shifts including days, evenings & nights, including weekends & statutory holidays.
• Will maintain the highest standards of hygiene and personal appearance.
• Will possess a pleasant, willing, flexible, and positive attitude.
• Will have a desire to work with seniors and display a service mindset.
• Must be able to work & communicate effectively with all members of the Pioneer Team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Will follow the Policies & Procedures of Lloydminster Region Housing Group, o/a Pioneer Lodge and House, and the Hospitality Department.
• Will conduct themselves in a polite & professional manner, treating staff, residents, families, and volunteers with dignity and respect.
• Will prioritize the health, safety & general well-being of residents.
• Will use the communication tools provided to access & share information.
• Will be responsible for the general cleanliness of the Pioneer, including but not limited to resident rooms, common rooms, washrooms, entryways, stairwells, and offices.
• General cleaning will include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitization, emptying garages, deep cleaning suites, washing windows, changing linens/beds, etc.
• Will complete all laundry duties including sorting, washing, drying, pressing, delivering etc.
• Will complete all duties on the Shift Task Lists in a timely & efficient manner.
• Assist residents moving rooms including packing and moving furniture.
• Will respond to resident alerts as required.
• Will provide support & assistance, as needed, to all members of the Pioneer Team.
• Will assist in training and orientation staff as needed.
• Will participate in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS).
• Follows all Emergency Response Plans, Infection Prevention and Controls protocols, WHMIS and OHS processes, guidelines, and legislation.
• Maintain training as required by LRHG/Pioneer Lodge and House including WHMIS, OHS, MIP, Dementia training, and others as assigned.
• Maintains confidentiality of LRHG o/a Pioneer Lodge and House including but not limited to accountability of all staff. Breach of confidentiality is serious and may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
• Will complete additional tasks as assigned.
