Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of the McMaster or Consortium Physician Assistant Program.
• Certified as a Physician Assistant by the Canadian Academy of Physician Assistants.
• Successful completion of the Canadian Physician Assistant certification exam; BCLS and ACLS.
• Experience in shared decision-making and leadership within an interprofessional team.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care within the PA scope under supervision of the Most Responsible Physician.
• Gather data, interview patients and caregivers, and perform physical examinations.
• Order medical investigations and participate in patient treatment planning.
• Contribute to department and hospital quality improvement and risk management.
