Job summary

Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake, BC, seeks a Hospitalist to provide inpatient care in a supportive team environment. You will serve as the most responsible physician for complex medical cases and co-manage surgical patients, with emphasis on quality improvement and palliative care.

As a Hospitalist at Cariboo Memorial Hospital, you will work in the acute inpatient medicine setting and function in a MRP (most responsible physician) role for complex medical and co-management of surgical patients, as well as palliative care. Throughout the hospital, you will receive excellent support from the other CMH specialists and family physicians. Working 8 hours a day you will see an average of 12-16 inpatients per shift.

The CMH Hospitalist program supports the complex and diverse medical needs of our patients in an environment that fosters collaboration among specialists.

Terms

Compensation Type Clinical Service Contract Estimated Remuneration For a full time hospitalist, anticipate an annual base income of $336,168.00 or $200.10/ hour. Up to an additional 40% is also available with group contract incentives. MOCAP level 2 and After Hours Premiums also provided. Physician Overhead No Overhead

Benefits and Incentives

May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including: Retention Premium 12.32% Retention Flat Fee $19,092 Relocation Funding Available $9,000 - $15,000 Recruitment Incentive $15,000 (based on 1.0 FTE). *Rural Incentives are subject to change and current rates are confirmed at time of offer. Candidates with a BC or Canada student loan may be eligible for BC or Canada loan forgiveness programs for those living and working in rural community.
