Lions Gate Hospital (LGH) offers a comprehensive range of acute care services, including emergency, critical care, general medicine, surgery, maternity, pediatrics, neurology, neurosurgery, cardiology, orthopedics, psychiatry, palliative care, chemotherapy, diagnostics, nuclear medicine, and rehabilitation. As a recognized trauma centre, LGH has 268 inpatient beds, eight operating rooms, and a variety of diagnostic services, serving populations across rural and urban areas including the North Shore, Squamish, Whistler, Pemberton, Mount Currie, Sunshine Coast, and Powell River.

LGH is seeking qualified full- and part-time Hospitalists to provide Medical Responsibility Physician (MRP) services to acute care medical patients, geriatrics, and neurological, neurosurgical, and orthopedic patient populations, with consultant support. Successful applicants will join the Division of Hospitalists within the Department of Medicine and participate in an on-call rotation approximately once per week. Both full-time and part-time roles involve 5- or 7-day rotations. Candidates should have a strong interest in developing their acute care hospitalist practice at LGH and will have opportunities to teach UBC medical students and R1/R2 Family Practice residents.

- Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) membership – Mandatory
