Role and Facility Information

Fraser Health is actively seeking physicians to join our hospital medicine program at Langley Memorial Hospital. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to establishing a permanent acute care hospital practice and working collaboratively with all members of the inter-professional team, including fellow physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, and Allied Health staff.

2. Admission and care management of "unattached" patients as the Most Responsible Physician (MRP).
3. Providing supportive care for select surgical and specialty medical patients.
4. Participating in a hospital culture that fosters collaborative, inter-professional teamwork.
5. Managing approximately 80% of medical inpatients through our hospitalist service, which offers a diverse and fulfilling caseload.

We seek physicians passionate about acute care, team-oriented, dedicated to continuous improvement, and committed to enhancing care at Langley Memorial Hospital. The new Fraser Health Contract ensures reasonable daily workloads and increased compensation, with flexible scheduling options including rounding lines, admission shifts, overnight shifts, and virtual shifts, supported by clinical associates.

Eligibility

Candidates must be licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC), and possess either CCFP (or equivalent) or FRCP credentials. ACLS certification is strongly recommended. Hospitalist experience, fellowship, and membership in professional hospital medicine societies are assets.

Compensation

We operate under the new Fraser Health Hospitalist Contract, which offers rates as per PMA plus additional incentives.

Langley Memorial Hospital is a community hospital with acute beds, offering medical, surgical, obstetrics, pediatrics, psychiatry, critical care, ambulatory care, and 24/7 emergency services, with approximately 58,000 visits annually.
