Fraser Health Authority seeks a Unit Clerk for Ridge Meadows Hospital, a community-focused setting where staff support neighbors with a warm, intimate environment.

You will handle clerical duties, coordinate physician orders, schedule patient appointments and tests, and liaise with other departments to ensure smooth care transitions. A Nursing Unit Clerk program and Grade 12 are required, with strong keyboard and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with medical terminology and graduation from a recognized Nursing Unit Clerk program.
• One year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Ability to keyboard at 40 wpm and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes, processes, coordinates and transcribes physicians' orders and enters information into the computer.
• Schedules and coordinates patient appointments and tests; maintains appointment diaries.
• Acts as a communication link with other facilities and departments; supports bed management and patient transfers.
