Job summary

Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a Pharmacy Practice Assistant to join the Central Zone, Public Health Services — Burnside team. You will work within the inter-professional pharmacy group to provide safe, patient-centered care and support medication management.

The role requires a Pharmacy Technician program or hospital technician experience, NS licensure is asset, and strong math, terminology and computer skills. Travel may be required and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized Pharmacy Technician/Technology program.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Licensure in Nova Scotia as a Pharmacy Technician is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist in safe, patient- and family-centered pharmacotherapy within scope of practice.
• Support medication preparation and inventory control as part of the inter-professional care team.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting to support pharmacy operations.
