Job summary

Dexterra Group in Canada is seeking a dedicated Cook to join our catering team. You will report to the Catering Manager and be responsible for the proper and timely preparation of meals, including food service, food safety, and supervision of kitchen staff where applicable.

Your duties include keeping the kitchen and storage areas clean, preparing nutritious meals according to schedules and menus, and adapting to client needs while maintaining inventory and accurate records.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience is required.
• Cooking experience is required.
• A clear criminal background check is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Keep kitchen and food storage areas clean at all times.
• Prepare high quality meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) per client schedule and menu.
• Be flexible to client needs and food preferences.
• Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety and Safe Food Handling regulations.
• Follow Dexterra and hospital policies and procedures.
• Manage inventory and maintain signed meal records.
