Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking an Environmental Services Worker to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, families and staff at Valley Regional Hospital.

The role covers cleaning of patient rooms and public areas, moving furniture, and using Taski equipment. Applicants should have Grade 12, be committed to safety and confidentiality, and may travel to other sites with a reliable vehicle. Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent work experience.
• Commitment to safety, ethics and organizational health.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Travel to other sites may be required with a reliable vehicle.
• Equipment operated includes Taski spray buffers, burnishers, auto scrubbers and shampooers.
• Competencies in other languages an asset; French preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, families, staff and visitors.
• Clean all units including patient rooms and public areas (mopping, dusting, vacuuming).
• Move furniture, change curtains and drapes as needed.
• Follow mission, values and safety and quality practices in daily work.
