Job summary

Alberta Health Services (AHS) is seeking an Environmental Services Worker to clean and disinfect patient rooms and clinical areas in a healthcare setting. Training will be provided; shifts include days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

A Northern Allowance up to 6,300 CAD yearly is available, with travel reimbursement for eligible staff above the 57th parallel. Primary duties include sweeping, mopping, restocking, linen handling, and operating cleaning equipment while maintaining safety

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent; basic computer/smartphone use.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Able to follow oral and written instructions with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop and vacuum; restock bathroom supplies; strip linen and make beds.
• Operate cleaning equipment for floors; clean ceilings and windows as needed.
• Empty hazardous waste and replenish cleaning supplies; report hazards.
