Job summary

AMGH in Ontario is seeking a food service worker to support hospital dining operations. You will prepare and portion meals, operate the cafeteria cash register, and assist with stock and inventory control in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires a high school diploma, a safe food handling certificate, WHMIS training, and at least one year of large-volume food service experience; flexible shifts and an inclusive workplace are offered.

Qualifications

• Current certificate in safe food handling.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• WHMIS training and knowledge in Material Safety Data Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and portioning of food as well as kitchen/department cleanup duties.
• Operate the cafeteria cash register and handle receipts.
• Monitor and update special diets using computer program.
• Monitor inventory and process orders; ensure stock control.
• Replaces staff when short call replacement is required; maintain clean work area.
