Job summary

Trillium Health Partners invites applications for an Environmental Services Associate at Queensway Health Centre. The role focuses on floor care, cleaning public areas, washrooms, and patient areas, with duties including stripping and waxing, burnishing, auto-scrubbing, and buffing.

You will work Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:00, with a team, and participate in recycling, biomedical waste handling, and room setup.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated floor care knowledge including stripping and waxing.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and use basic math.
• Ability to communicate with customers, patients and co-workers.
• Work as part of a team and support HA’s, etc.
• Must complete the required training program.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care including stripping, waxing, burnishing, auto-scrubbing and buffing.
• Clean public areas, washrooms, stairwells, elevators, corridors and equipment.
• Collect garbage, recyclables and biomedical waste; manage outside garbage and grounds.
• Snow removal as needed; transport supplies and equipment around the hospital.
• Set up conference rooms and assist with biomedical waste cleanup per guidelines.
