Vancouver Island Health Authority in Nanaimo is seeking a casual Patient Placement and Bed Control Clerk to support patient flow and bed management across sites.

You will use hospital information systems, communicate with care teams, and coordinate placements while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Requirements include Grade 12 and three years' related experience or equivalent, strong typing, medical terminology knowledge, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 and three years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination.
• Ability to keyboard at 45 wpm.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to deal with others effectively.
