Responsibilities

• Assemble hoses using various techniques and pressure test/recertify hoses
• Crimp to manufacturers specifications for hydraulic, steam, air, water, pressure wash and fuel hoses
• Assemble, crimp and pressure test petroleum, water and chemical transfer hoses up to 10-inch diameter
• Perform hose inspections, pressure testing and recertifications
• Answer phones and take walk-in requests
• Load and unload industrial hoses and assemblies

Northern Metalic Sales is a Canadian Independent Wholesale Industrial Distributor based in Grande Prairie, AB with operations across Alberta & BC.

Northern Metalic Sales is part of a larger, diverse group of companies with interests in wholesale distribution, oilfield service & supply, lubricants distribution, land and real estate development, rail construction & transload, and finance.

Overview:

We are currently seeking an individual to fill the position of Hose Shop Technician at our Clairmont location.

Specific Responsibilities include:

The primary responsibilities of the Hose Shop Technicianare, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assembling different types of hoses using various techniques. Pressure test new and recertify used hoses.
• Assemble and crimp to manufacturers specifications: hydraulic, steam, air, water, pressure wash and fuel hoses.
• Assembling, crimping and pressure testing manufacturers specifications: petroleum, water and chemical transfer hoses up to 10-inch diameter.
• Hose inspections, pressure testing and recertifications.
• Answering phones and taking walk in requests.
• Loading and unloading industrial hoses and assemblies.
