ABOUT THE JOB
  • Gates Corporation, formerly Atlas Hydraulics/Pace Manufacturing, is growing in Greenville, SC and we are hiring for a Hose Assembler.
  • This position is part of the production team, reporting directly to the shift supervisor and/or team leader.
  • Assemblers operate equipment to couple and form various sizes and product lines of hydraulic hose assemblies.
  • Job duties include performing assembly tasks utilizing a variety of tools and machines, working in a team supporting safety, productivity, and high-quality product delivery.
  • Shifts available: 2nd shift (2:30 pm - 10:30 pm)
Requirements and Preferred Skills
  • Attendance is essential; regular, reliable, punctual, and consistent attendance is required.
  • Must be able to work 40 hours per week plus overtime.
  • Ability to read, understand, and perform printed and verbal work instructions throughout all processes.
  • Demonstrate safe working habits and follow all safety requirements.
  • Plan, evaluate, set up, and operate equipment such as saws, crimpers, pushers, flushers, etc., and verify compliance.
  • Operate machine controls and recognize warning devices on machines.
  • Visually or physically examine materials to ensure conformance with standards.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
  • Team-oriented individual who supports a collaborative manufacturing approach.
  • Use of scanners & internal production systems.
  • Support other team members proactively and share knowledge for cross-training.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by supervision.
  • Physical requirements include regular lifting, pushing, standing, and pulling of products. Basic training for these tasks will be provided and assessed.
