Brookside Garden Centre is seeking a Horticultural Area Manager to lead the outdoor plant department. This full-time, permanent role requires managing resources, maintaining pricing and displays, and delivering exceptional customer service to help drive sales.

You will mentor a retail team, ensure plants stay healthy and well presented, and advise customers on plant choices. Weekend work and strong leadership are essential for success in this busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified horticulturalist with retail management experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise staff resources for daily department operations.
• Ensure all stock is clearly priced and displays are fresh.
• Replenish plant stock and merchandise to create attractive displays with clear POS.
• Advise customers on suitable plants and products for their needs.
• Oversee cleaning and housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Support Garden Centre management in wider duties and cover.
