Job summary

Kicking Horse Coffee Co. is seeking a playful, animal-loving professional to join our production environment as a Horse Whisperer. You’ll tend to the horses with care and joy, while collaborating with a team that values learning and quality.

Your role blends passion for animals with a love for our coffee culture. You should be curious, adaptable, and ready to contribute to a fun, high-standard workplace in the Canadian Rocky Mountains ecosystem.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure horses are ready and happy in the stable.
• Provide spa-like care for stalls and ensure comfort for animals.
• Curate a menu of hay and snacks; ensure quality and variety.
• Keep paddocks clean and safe for hoofed visitors and staff.
• Speak in horse-speak to bridge communication with equine teammates.
• Solve problems when horses misbehave or get loose.

Responsibilities

• Make sure the horses are always ready to kick ass.
• Provide luxury spa treatments to our stalls because every horse deserves a pampered palace.
• Curate and oversee a menu of the finest grasses and snacks, ensuring every munch is a flavor sensation.
• Keep our paddocks party-ready by ensuring the pastures (a.k.a. dance floors) are well-groomed and hoof-stomping friendly.
• Fluent in horse-speak, you'll bridge the communication gap, ensuring our equine pals feel heard and understood.
• A problem solver when the horse gets out of control.

Qualifications

• A degree in Equine Euphoria or a Ph.D. in Horse Happiness (equivalent experience accepted).
• Love living in Columbia Valley
