Who You Are

You have worked as an Obstetrician/Gynecologist for at least 1 year.

You possess a Medical Degree from a recognized medical school and postgraduate studies (residency) in the field of specialty.

You must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick.

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology requires that practicing members be a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada with subspecialty certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology from an accredited program to be eligible for active membership. Candidates with Royal College eligibility may be considered.

Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is required at an advanced level. Bilingual skills are considered an asset.

A typical weekly schedule includes:

  • Clinical practice in both obstetrics and gynecology
  • Participation in teaching, medical education, and research as required by the department
  • On-call commitments as required, coordinated with other division members
