Job description

New Earth School is a nature-based Homeschool Pod located on the beautiful island of St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. We refer to ourselves as a school family with our cascade of age ranges spanning 2nd-7th grade, for our 10 children.

Eclectic schooling is how we would describe what we do. With the use of The Good & Beautiful curriculum for Math & Language Arts, and multiple different curriculums for History, Science & Economics. Somatic practices and ancient modalities are also foundational with our education, as the core of how we teach is to Know Thyself.

Minor lesson planning for History & Science is required, as all our curriculums are open & go. Also, no grading is required.

The school is organized with lots of support, including a teacher aid every day to divide the age ranges for more direct academic focus. Additional teachers come in to teach Art, Gardening, Yoga & Music.

We are in search of an experienced Lead Teacher to guide these beautiful children through their academics and rhythm of the day & year in a holistic way. Key qualities needed are strong communication skills, adaptability, a passion for learning, empathy, teamwork skills, and the overall intention of encouraging student growth & success.

This is a 4-day-a-week school, Monday-Thursday. Teacher salary is $60,000.
